A novel fabrication of hierarchical structure for superhydrophobic surface with polymers is presented in this study. We replicate the rough aluminum template surface to PK and PK, mEOR blends by nano- and/or-micro imprint pattern transfer using hot pressing. Aluminum template which has nano- and/or micro-structure was fabricated by chemical wet etching. Beck’s dislocation etchant was used in this study, which preferentially dissolves the dislocation sites in the grains. The rough surface of Al templates was replicated to PK and PK, mEOR blends under specific heat and pressure. Afterward, we selectively dissolve only mEOR with n-hexane which leads the increase of surface area to augment the roughness of surface moreover. The purpose of this study is to qualify the hierarchical surface morphology in relation to superhydrophoicity. |
