Recently, there has been much interest in research into more efficient and environmentally friendly development methods. Among them, coal gasification fuel cell power generation (IGFC) is attracting worldwide attention. IGFC, the next generation power generation technology, is known to be more effective at reducing greenhouse gas emissions than coal gasification combined cycle (IGCC). However, a small amount of sulfur compounds is produced by the gasification of coal, which can be caused to poison the catalyst of the fuel cell, so it must be controlled to a few ppm or less. Therefore, in this study, we tried to find a catalyst to remove COS, one of the sulfur compounds that cause catalyst poisoning. Based on WO3, basic alkaline earth metals were added to improve the acid gas adsorption capacity. We synthesized scheelite type catalysts of MWO4. The characteristics of the synthesized catalysts were analyzed by XRD, BET, SEM, and COS removal test was performed at 400 ℃. |
