제목 Synthesis of well-defined poly(vinyl acetate)-b-poly(4-vinyl pyridine) block copolymers by a combination of CMRP and RAFT polymerization
초록 Poly(vinyl acetate) (PVAc) macroinitiators were first synthesized via cobalt-mediated radical polymerization (CMRP) and then the cobalt complex attached to their chain end was converted into a dithioester group for the reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization of 4-vinyl pyridine (4VP). The molecular weight distributions of the resulting PVAc-b-P4VP block copolymers were very narrow (Mw/Mn=1.11~1.17) even at high conversions. The PVAc-b-P4VP block copolymers were used as both a stabilizer and a photo-iniferter for the photo-induced dispersion polymerization of styrene (St). The PSt nanoparticles were characterized using 1H NMR, GPC, SEM, and FE-TEM.
