제목 | Effect of Molecular Weight of Novel Bifunctional Polyurethane-based Macromonomer on Dispersion Polymerization of Styrene |
초록 | The technology of macromonomer includes the design of structures with control of the molecular weight, organization of the main chain and combination of the end group or tails (heads). Introduction of crosslinkable bifunctional groups on macromonomer endows novel properties such as increase in the molecular weight, enhancement of colloid stability, and thermal properties, etc. In this study, bifunctional polyurethane-based macromonomers having a series of molecular weight are synthesized by reacting poly(ethylglycol) (PEG) and isophorone diisocynate (IPDI), and subsequent treatment with acrylamide. The synthesized macromonomers are employed in dispersion polymerization and the effects of molecular weights of the macromonomers are investigated. |
