Fabrication of visible light driven photocatalytic thin film using microliter scale solution process |

Recently, development of highly efficient photocatalysts for the elimination of organic contaminants has been considered to be one of the important investigative fields. Most of cases, powdered form photocatalysts are usually used. However the powdered form is inconvenient because it has to be separated after photocatalytic reaction. Thus, it is highly required to develop immobilized photocatlyst as thin films on a solid substrate. The Ag/AgI/rGO nanocomposite thin films are prepared on the glass substrate by meniscus-dragging deposition(MDD) technique and reduction method. The Ag/GO films are coated by MDD techniques and then this films are reacted with HI based solution in vapor-solid phase. The as-prepared composite thin films were confirmed by FT-IR, XRD, EDX. The nanocomposite exhibits excellent photocatalytic performance in degradation of organic dyes in the presence of visible light(λ> 400). |
