Biological Filtration of Organic Solid Materials from Municipal Wastewater with the Aerated Constructed Wetland |
| 초록 |
Aerated constructed wetland was employed for the removal of organic solid materials in raw municipal wastewater. The wetland was equipped with a specially designed natural air draft system. More than 99% of the organic solid materials could be successfully removed through the filtration by the sand and gravel beds and the following biochemical oxidation. This combined filtration and biochemical decomposition made the wetland accomplish the continuous successful removal of organic solid materials in the 100m3/day municipal wastewater for 3 years without blockage of the sands and gravels. |
