제목 | A Study on the Morphology of Multi-block Copolyetheresters by Solid State NMR Spectroscopy |
초록 | The elucidation of the morphology of multi-phase polymer systems as observed in the molecular level is a continuing subject in our laboratory. On the other hand, the morphology of the multi-block copolymers is of both practical and academic interests since these materials show microphase separations which plays an important role in the manifestation of the end-use mechanical properties. We used multi-block copolyetherester systems based on poly(butylene teretpthalate) (PBT) and poly(tetramethylene glycol) (PTMG) with the block lengths as the structural variables. These systems show the behavior of thermoplastic elastomers, in which the PBT hard segments act as the physical crosslinking points. In this study, a series of solid state NMR spectra were measured for the samples to take the spin-diffusion into consideration. These spectra were then numerically analysed and their NMR spectral features and relaxation behaviors were quantitatively interpreted in favor of their morphological heterogeneity. |
