Solution-processed, highly adhesive and anticorrosion graphene coatings on metals |

Metals used in various industries are usually exposed to different environmental and operational conditions that can lead their corrosion. Preventing corrosion of metal is one of the biggest issues in many applications. There has been much interest in developing new materials and/or technologies to enhance the effectiveness of corrosion resistant coatings. In this study, we present a protective coating based on highly structured reduced graphene oxide (RGO)/graphene oxide (GO) onto Cu plates by spray coating and subsequent annealing process. By controlling post-annealing temperatures, highly structured RGO/GO/Cu was created, which exhibited excellent adhesion and anti-corrosion properties. |
