Enhancement of mechanical properties and thermal creep behavior of epoxy composites reinforced by fluorinated carbon black |
초록 |
Carbon black (CB)/epoxy composites are prepared, in which the CB is functionalized according to the different partial pressure of fluorination. The change of chemical properties and dispersion stability of untreated and fluorinated CB are evaluated. The physical properties of fluorinated CB/epoxy composites are also obtained by not only tensile and impact strengths but also thermal creep behaviors. The fluorinated CB/epoxy composites showed ~43% enhancement of tensile strength as compared to untreated CB/epoxy composites. The thermal creep behavior was also largely improved. As a consequence, significant enhancements in the mechanical properties are attributed to the fluorination of CB, which results in improvements of dispersion within epoxy resin and adhesion with it. |
