This work presents the development of a mathematical model for the simulation of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs). Two-dimensional mathematical model for a planar anode-supported SOFC was constructed. The concentrations of the chemical species, temperature distribution, potential distribution, and current density were calculated using computational fluid dynamic (CFD) commercial tool, FLUENT. This study will show the result of I-V curve, fuel concentration, temperature distribution, and current density distribution. Experimental data from Roger et al. was used to validate this planar SOFC model. |
