A novel porphyrin-based fluorescent sensor, dicyanovinylporphyrin, for cyanide ion was synthesized by Knoevenagel condensation reaction. Upon addition of CN-, the intensity of Soret-band increased with blue-shift in absorption spectrum which was accompanied by the color change from orange to pink, indicating the reaction dicyanovinyl and CN-. Meanwhile, the fluorescence intensity reduced with increasing amount of CN-. The detection limit reached as low as 8.90 x 10-7 M in THF solution. We herein report the colorimetric and fluorescence sensing behavior towards to CN− ion in the presence of other F−, Cl−, Br−, I−, OCl4−, HSO4− and NO2− ions. |
