제목 | The Reliability Estimation in Cylinder Head Cover Plastics |
초록 | Cylinder head cover(CHC) was traditionally manufactured by the aluminium die casting but to reduce vehicle weight it was gradually replaced by the plastics moulding. Generally plastic CHC was made by the glass fiber reinforced(GF) polymaide 66 or glass fiber reinforced polymaide 66 with mineral filler. The main functions of CHC were to provide protection for engine’s valves, oil and noise shielding. Pricipal demands are that the component had to resist engine oils and chemicals, accept temperatures within the range -40℃ to 150℃ without deformation and degradation of properties. Recently, the reliability estimation which evaluated the life and the durability in plastic materials and their parts became more significant in relation to PL (Product Liability) and the long-term qualities of products. The objective of this work was to evaluate the reliability of cylinder head cover plastics for automobiles, the reliability estimation of Cylinder head cover plastics was composed of the durability test and life estimation test. and these test was conducted under stresses such as heat, humidity, fatigue and engine oil. This work were studied in order to establish the standard for evaluating the reliability, to estimate the degree of degradation with environmental aging, and to predict the life with the statistical approach in cylinder head-cover plastics for automobiles. |
