제목 | Synthesis and characterization of surfactant stabilized calcium phosphate nanoparticles |
초록 | Calcium phosphate (CaP) is one of the most important biomaterials because its mineralized version known as hydroxyapatite (HAP) is one of the major components of vertebrate and human bones and teeth. Synthetic CaP including dicalcium phosphate dihydrate (DCPD) and HAP has been studied and used in different materials and biomedical applications. The properties of synthetic CaP are governed by its chemical composition, structure, crystallinity, and morphology, which are strongly dependent upon the conditions of preparation. Various methods including precipitation, sol-gel, and emulsion have been developed to prepare synthetic CaP. Understanding the mechanisms of the formation of CaP nanostructures is crucial for the development of CaP-based functional materials. Here we develop emulsion based synthetic routes towards CaP nanoparticles stabilized with various surfactants. As-prepared CaP nanoparticles have been characterized using various microscopic and spectroscopic tools. Results of structural and spectroscopic data of CaP nanoparticles as well as the effects of solution compositions, reaction conditions, and surfactants will be discussed together in the presentation. |
