제목 Acidic Trifunctional Oligomer-based Composite for Dental Applications
초록 Although polymeric dental composites has been widely used as direct esthetic restorative materials due to their esthetic quality, with improved safety issues by replacing the controversial mercury-based amalgams, they had still several important drawbacks, such as most importantly polymerization shrinkage and the possibility of potentially toxic chemicals such as bisphenol A leaching out of the fillings. These problems have led to great interest in the development of improved composite resins. In this study, acidic oligomer was synthesized and charaterized from bisphenol A glycidyl methacrylate (Bis-GMA) and itaconic anhydride, used to formulate in compomers, and to evaluated its mechanical strengths.
