제목 Development of anti-biofouling specialized resin composite for digital light processing
초록 Deposition of biofilm in the oral cavity might cause severe inflammation including dental carries and periodontitis. Using anti-biofouling agents such as metal oxide and functional polymers was introduced as an alleviative method, yet no report were released with incorporating them on dental resin composite for digital light processing (DLP). Hence, this study stated the formulation of dental resin composite by incorporating anti-biofouling agent 2-methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorlcholine (MPC) especially for utilizing the conventional DLP. Composites contained 0%(control), 1%, 3%, 5%, 7% of MPC by mass. Mechanical properties were measured using three-point bending test. Anti-bacterial test was conducted by monitoring the colony-forming units(CFU) of E.Coli, S.Aureus. Protein-repelling ability of the resin composite was determined by the microbicinchoninic acid method. As a result, flexural strength and modulus decreased consistently from 86.9MPa to 71.6MPa and 2.1GPa to 1.5GPa, respectively. Resin composite containing 7% of MPC by mass exhibited the most effective anti-biofouling ability by resulting approximately 90% of deduction on bacteria and protein adsorption in comparison to the control group.
