As an increase of the need of power and energy might be continued, low-grade coal which has higher moisture content is recently to be used in thermochemical processes for hydrogen, methane and other liquid products similar to general fossil fuels such as oil and bituminous coals. Therefore research and developments (R&Ds) for the economical utilization of low-grade coal become popular in the world. In this study, combustion and desulphurization circulating fluidized bed (CFB) models for low-grade coal were developed by using a Aspen plus simulator and the operation results with different conditions were compared. CFB model in Aspen plus was used and CO2: O2 ratios were 79:21, 70:30, 60:40, respectively. Also, air combustion condition was used to be compared. |
