제목 Comparison of Environmental Compatibility and Interfacial Properties of Phospholipid Biosurfactants Prepared from Fatty Oil and Fatty Acid Respectively
초록 In this study, phospholipid biosurfactants were synthesized from fatty oils and fatty acids respectively and their potential applicability for cosmetic and household products was examined. The structure of the resulting products was elucidated by FT-IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectroscopies and environmental compatibility of the surfactants such as biodegradability and acute oral toxicity was evaluated. The interfacial properties of newly synthesized biosurfactants have been measured such as CMC, surface tension, interfacial tension, wetting property, emulsification activity and foam property.  Since this biosurfactant is an amphoteric surfactant, Zeta potential measurement has indicated that the new phospholipid biosurfactant showed not only detergency but also mildness effect since it showed characteristics of an anionic surfactant in an alkaline condition, while showing characteristics of a cationic surfactant in an acidic condition.
