Improvement of SAPO-34 with milling and postmilling recrystallization for methanol to olefins catalysts |

Methanol to olefin (MTO) reaction is important research that produces light olefins from alternative carbon sources via methanol, instead of from thermal cracking of naphtha. As promising materials, SAPO-34 has excellent catalytic performance in the MTO reaction due to the CHA structure, containing small-pore with large cavities. However, the diffusion limitation over the micropores of SAPO-34 undergoes a fast coke deposition and thus catalytic deactivation. To alleviate the rapid deactivation, we suggested the preparation of SAPO-34 with milling and postmilling recrystallization. The milling and post milling recrystallization can reduce the crystal size of SAPO-34 for decreasing the diffusion length, and weaken the acidity in their external surface for suppressing coke formation. Furthermore, their influence on improving the rapid deactivation was investigated by the catalytic performance in the MTO reaction. |
