제목 Modified Viologen Doped Zinc Oxide as the Electron Transporting Layer in Polymer Solar Cells
초록 The small molecules based on viologen were modified for improving the efficiency of the solar cell device. 1,10-bis(4-hydroxypropyl)-[4,40-bipyridine]-1,10-diium bromide (V1) or 1,10-bis(2,3-dihydroxypropyl)-[4,40-bipyridine]-1,10-diium bromide (V2) were synthesized and employed as transport layer in inverted polymer solar cells.. When these modified viologen doped with ZnO layer the device efficiency improved. The work function was characterized by Kevin probe microscopy, given the range between -4,2~ -4.3 eV. This result is higher than the pristine. Power conversion efficiency of modified viologen also gave high efficiency compared to pristine (7.4%), the different value of V1(9.0%) and V2 (8.6%) indicate that effect of the hydroxyl group in viologen derivatives play an important role to enhance the PCE.
