Conducting Polymer Dough for Deformable Electronic Devices |
초록 |
The Deformable electronics have motivated scientists to develop stretchable conductors for use in electrodes and circuits. There are several approaches to fabricate deformable conductors, but robust printing on the micrometre scale remains a substantial challenge. Here, we report a simple strategy to change a brittle conducting polymer to a highly deformable polymer that is solution-processable and micropatternable. We modified poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) to be stretchable and mouldable without conductivity loss. Taking advantage of the viscoelastic characteristics of this polymer, this study demonstrates rapid healing of metallic conductivity during repeated folding and cut-off cycles. We also demonstrate that light-emitting devices can be created by moulding the conducting polymer into complex micropatterns. |
