제목 Study on Immobilization of beta-Glucan in Chitosan Microspheres and Release Kinetics
초록 Chitosan (CHN) is widely used as biomaterials due to its biocompatibility and biodegradability. CHN molecule, in particular, carries highly positive charges different from most of other biomolecules, which enables CHN to be used as a drug carrier. In this study, we prepared -glucan loaded CHN microspheres and evaluated the efficacy of drug loading and release pattern. The physicochemical properties of -glucan loaded CHN microspheres including size, surface charge, and surface morphology were examined using goniometer, scanning electron microscope. The drug release kinetics was evaluated using high performance liquid chromatography. The effects of drug release on the growth and differentiation of osteoblastic cells were characterized via cellular assays.
