제목 Mussel-inspired Synthesis of Silver Nanocrystals on Electrospun Poly(vinylalcohol) Nanofibers
초록 We introduce a bio-inspired synthesis of silver nanocrystals coated on poly(vinylalcohol) (PVA) nanofibers. PVA is electrospun into nanofibers and then coated using a mixture of dopamine hydrochloride and silver nitrate. The catechol-modified PVA nanofibers serve as a template for the spontaneous formation of silver nanocrystals without additional reducing agents. This facile synthesis of silver coating of PVA nanofibers is expected to be usefully exploited for transdermal patch, wound healing materials, drug delivery depots, tissue engineering scaffolds, and antimicrobial materials.
