제목 Physical properties of an epoxy nanocomposite with both graphene nanoplatelets and multi-walled carbon nanotubes
초록 Carbon nanofillers have excellent thermal, electrical and mechanical properties. The incorporation of carbon nanofillers into a polymer can remarkably enhance the mechanical and thermal properties of the polymer. In this study, two types of carbon nanofillers, graphene nanoplatelets(GNPs) and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs), were used to elucidate the synergistic effects of adding both GNPs and MWNTs together to an epoxy resin. Physical properties and morphology of an epoxy nanocomposite with both GNPs and MWNTs were investigated by DSC, DMA, TMA and SEM. The reinforcement with both GNPs and MWNTs showed synergistic effects in improving the mechanical properties of the nanocomposite.
