제목 Design, synthesis and photophysical properties of new highly efficient erbium(III)-encapsulated hybrid materials
초록 Erbium(III)-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFA) have been widely used in the field of superhigh speed optical telecommunication system. However, EDFA is not enough for amplifying the optical signals because of poor solubility of erbium ion in host materials. We have been working on new highly efficient erbium(III)-encapsulated hybrid materials by incorporating lanthanide metals (Ln = Eu, Er or Yb) into MCM materials through the fusion of information technology(IT) and nanotechnology(NT). Its materials are capable of miniaturizing optical devices up to nano-size for high speed datacommunication. Various mono- and di-substituted amide ligands including functionalized alkoxysilyl groups and their lanthanide-encapsulated complexes were synthesized. We present the design, synthesis and photophysical properties of new highly efficient erbium(III)-encapsulated hybrid materials.
