제목 Tuning of thermal properties and impregnation of erithritol as phase change materials by blending with expanded graphite
초록 The use of Phase change material (PCM) is one of the routes for the storage of transitory excessive energy from industry for use at a more suitable later time. One of the materials with a high energy storage over 100°C is erithritol, on which several studies were conducted to solve the thermal properties and impregnation problems by adding the additives. Therefore, in this article, Erithritol/ expanded graphite (EG) composites for PCM were prepared according to EG concentration. A variety of EG concentrations were respectively added into the molten erithritol solution in order to study the effect of EG concentration as the additives on the thermal properties and impregnation of erythritol as PCM. The structure of the PCM composite was characterized using scanning electron microscopy. The improvement of the thermal conductivity of erythryitol/EG composites were investigated and the latent heat for impregnation and thermal stability of erithritol/EG composites were evaluated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurement.
