CHARACTERIZATION OF ETHYLENE-STYRENE COPOLYMERS GENERATED BY DINUCLEAR CONSTRAINED GEOMETRY CATALYSTS WITH XYLENE BRIDGE |
초록 |
It is known that coordination polymerization using Dinuclear Constrained Geometry Catalysts (DCGC) together with methylalumoxanes (MAO) catalysts is one of the most useful methods for preparing highly stereoregular and stereoblock polyolefins as well as ethylene copolymers with a higher content of α-olefins and styrene. The effect of different DCGC types on the microstructure of ethylene/styrene copolymers made with these catalysts has been investigated through the analysis of molecular weight, molecular weight distributions and the comonomer content. All polymers show the broad molecular weight distribution and the molecular weight being ranged from 25,000 to 1520,000 are influenced by both comonomer composition and reaction temperature. Copolymers using DCGC have high comonomer content, the highest content is 43%. Almost polymers did not have the melting point. |
