The separation of Cr(Ⅵ) from the aqueous solution was carried out at 25℃ in aimmobilized liquid membrane using a carrier such as tricaprylylmethylammoniumchloride. Quaternary ammonium chloride facilitated the rate of mass transfer of Cr(Ⅵ).The facilitation factor of the permeate was predicted in terms of theoretical model basedon the mass transfer accompanied by the reversible chemical reaction between thecarrier and the permeate.
