For anode catalysts of direct methanol fuel cells (DMFCs), Platinum (Pt) nanoparticles (NPs) were supported on Graphene Nano Sheets (GNS) Synthesized with Carbonized NH2-MIL-101 (Fe). Electrochemical properties of the catalysts were compared by measuring cyclic voltammetry (CV) and morphology and crystallinity of the as-synthesized samples were analyzed by Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (FT-IR), average sizes and lattice parameters were measured by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results showed that the Composites successfully decorated Pt nanoparticles with the crystallite narrow size, also demonstrated high electrochemical surface area (ECSA). when NH2-MIL-101 is present; prevents a severe obstacle to potential applications resulting from the restacking of graphene or reduced graphite oxide (r-GO). The results suggested that c(NH2-MIL-101)/GNS could be used as an effective catalyst support for DMFCs. |
