M-type hexagonal ferrites (MeFe12O19, Me = Ba, Sr, or Pb), known as hexaferrites, have been extensively used as permanent magnets because of their outstanding thermal and chemical stability and inexpensiveness. In the field of automobiles, hexaferrites are used as various components of electric vehicles (EVs) or hybrid electric vehicle (HEVs) such as electric oil pump, seat slide motor, and power telescopic motor. To enhance magnetic properties and the processability, we have synthesized the hard ferrite nanoparticles via spray drying method, followed by calcination process. |
