제목 Ferromagnetic Nanoparticles Reinforced Shape Memory Polyurethane for a Helical Stent
초록 The ferromagnetic nanoparticles incorporated shape memory polyurethane(FSMPU) composites were developed. The reinforcement of magnetite nanoparticles was shown to influence the thermo-mechanical properties of the polymeric networks; increasing Fe3O4 concentrations led to decrease glass transition temperature and elastic modulus. In this study prototype of helical shaped stent made of poly caprolactone(PCL)-based SMP with varying amounts of Fe3O4 magnetite (10, 20 and 30wt%) were evaluated actuation by an alternating magnetic field to induce heating. The use of remote heating system in the actuation of the FSMPU is shown the potential of biomedical applications.
