Novel radiation therapy is focusing on monitoring the tumor position in real time. In this experiment, we will improve characteristics of the metallic fiducial marker using the bio-absorbable polymer in the process of radiation therapy to cure cancer tissues. Thus, we designed the pH-sensitive polymer, Poly(amino urea urethane), that have a characteristic of forming hydrogel after injection and is composed of radiopaque materials (BaSO4, Gold nano particles) by settled encapsulation for monitoring the tumor position and tumor targeting therapy in real time. After synthesizing PAUU to have degradation times over 12weeks, we analyzed chemical structure and physical properties of bio-marker. Using special equipment for 4-dimensional radiation therapy, we optimized the property of the resultant bio-absorbable fiducial marker via optimizing the fabrication process, imaging properties and the bio-absorption nature. |
