A rapid and high performance biosensor to detect H2O2 was developed with a liquid-ion gated field-effect transitor (FET) using reduced graphene oxide (rGO) and polypyrrole (PPy) nanotube (NT) composites as a conductive channel. The liquid-ion gated FET based on the rGO/PPy NTs showed p-type behavior, which means the hole transporting behavior, and enhanced conductivity compared with rGO sheet and PPy NTs. The fabricated FET biosensor provided rapid response in real-time and high sensitivity toward the H2O2 at an unprecedentedly low concentration (0.1 nM). Furthermore, it exhibited excellent selective sensing behavior toward H2O2. |
