제목 Syntheses and Properties of Surfactants Derived From Isosorbide.
초록 Isosorbide derived from biomass is important for the industrial renewable material because of the limit of petroleum reserve and it is considered as an important platform material of the starch industry. Amphiphilic compounds derived from isosorbide could represent bio-sourced alternatives to surfactants originated from petrochemical origin. Due to the increase of the potential use of it, isosorbide has been investigated for applications of detergent for family use. The present study aims to investigate the role of properties of anionic surfactant containing isosorbide sulfonates. Each of the two hydroxyl groups of isosorbide derivatives have been synthesized by alkylation, sulfonation, etc. The synthesized surfactants have been tested to critical micelle concentration, emulsion stability, and foaming height. It can compare with commercial anionic surfactants.
