Manufacture, Characterization of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polycarbonate and Fiber Orientation Estimation from Rheological Behavior |
초록 |
Discontinuous fiber-reinforced composites are employedin various applications due to their excellent productivity and formability. Physicalproperties of composites strongly depend on the distribution of the fiber orientation. In thiswork, we prepared the PC-CF composites by using co-rotating twin screw extruderat 280 oC. The injection molded specimens with various CF contentswere prepared for the characterization of PC-CF composites. Here, we presentthe thermal, mechanical, and rheological properties of carbon fiber (CF)reinforced polycarbonate (PC). We also present a method to determine theorientation distribution function by the inverse calculation from the measuredrheological data. |
