제목 Preparation and Characterization of Low Molecular Water-Soluble Chitosan Nanoparticles Formed Complexes with All-Trans Retinoic Acid
초록 The purpose of this study is to develop novel nanoparticles based on polyelectrolyte complexes between water soluble chitosan (WSC) and all-trans retinoic acid (atRA). Chitosan complexes with atRA can be obtained by a simple procedure, i.e. of mixing atRA into chitosan aqueous solution by ultra-sonication. Chitosan nanoparticles encapsulating atRA have spherical shapes with particle size around 100 nm in the transmission electron microscope (TEM) observation. Loading efficiency of atRA into nanoparticles were above 60 % (w/w). From FT-IR spectrum, specific peak of atRA was decreased according to the complex formation between atRA and WSC. Chitosan nanoparticles encapsulating atRA are acceptable for vehicles of atRA.
