제목 | Core-shell type nanoparticles based on polyelectrolyte complexes between water soluble chitosan and all-trans retinoic acid |
초록 | The purpose of this study is to develop novel nanoparticles based on polyelectrolyte complexes between water soluble chitosan (WSC) and all-trans retinoic acid (atRA). In this study, we have studied chitosan nanoparticles encapsulating atRA. WSC with free amine group has advantages for preparation of nanoparticles due to their aqueous solubility and chitosan nanoparticle could be formed polyelectrolyte complexes between free-amine group of WSC and carboxyl group of atRA.[1.2] Formation of nanoparticles and their physicochemical properties were investigated using various analytical equipments ; TEM, DLS, and fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. Chitosan nanoparticles encapsulating atRA have spherical shapes with particle size around 100 nm in the transmission electron microscope (TEM) observation. Loading efficiency of atRA into nanoparticles were above 60 % (w/w). From FT-IR spectrum, specific peak of atRA was decreased according to the complex formation between atRA and WSC. Chitosan nanoparticles encapsulating atRA are acceptable for vehicles of atRA. (a) (b) Fig1.Morphology by TEM (a) and particle size (b) of chitosan complex References 1. M.K. Jang, Y.I. Jeong, C.S.
