In this work, the effect of brominated flame retardant on cure behaviors, thermal stability, and rheological properties of DGEBA/FRP-45 (Di(2-(ethylhexyl)tetrabromophthalate) was studied. DSC and TGA and rheometer were used to analyze their properties. The experimental results showed that the thermal properties of the system were increased with the addition of flame retardant. However, the residual burned up contents and burned up speed were decreased. And the gel time had much longer by increasing the flame retardant addition. Consequently it was thought that the interaction between bromine in FRP-45 and DGEBA could affect to the limitation of heat transfer or heat diffusion of blend system. |
