제목 Pancreatic cancer metastasis tracking using Mass-spectrometry based N-glycan profile analysis
초록  The abnormalities in glycosylation profile manifested among cancer cells has been recognized for its biomarkers towards assessing tumor progression. This study is the first diagnostic biomarker profiling on three types of pancreatic cancer cells (Capan-1, Panc-1 and MIA PaCa-2) from different sites of pancreatic tumor. 41 N-glycans present on the surface of normal and cancerous pancreatic cells were idenfied and relatively quantified using MALDI-TOF MS and MALDI-QIT-TOF MS/MS analysis coupled with solid-phase permethylation. These findings indicate that they can be used to differentiate normal and pancreatic cancer cells by specific N-glycosylation profile changes, as well as provide more information about their location and metastatic potential.
