제목 Synthesis of Interpenetrating Polymer Networks (IPNs) based on NIPAM, lipoic acid, and gold colloids
초록 An attractive method of the combination of different polymers is the synthesis of IPNs. IPN is an intimate combination of two polymers at least one of which is synthesized or crosslinked in the immediate presence of the other. In here, polymer IPNs were prepared by a radical polymerization. Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) as an initial network was reacted with alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) and gold colloids in ethyl alcohol. The film was kept in an oven at 80 ℃ for a day. After polymerization, the hydrogels were immersed in a methyl alcohol to remove unreacted chemicals and were cleaned in water. The hydrogels were dried in a vacuum oven. The IPNs of PNIPAM/ALA/Gold were successfully synthesized, and they showed the characteristics of interpenetrating structures and the changes of Tg.
