In this study, we fabricate conductive dual-enzyme gold nanocluster nanoparticle (AuNC-DENP) composed of glucose oxidase gold nanocluster (GOx-AuNC), and horseradish peroxide gold nanocluster (HRP-AuNC). The synthesized AuNC-DENP enable the combination of a two-enzyme cascade reaction steps, in which the GOx-AuNC oxidazes glucose to generate H2O2, which then reacts with the adjacent HRP-AuNC. Given the close proximity of the enzymes, the AuNC-DENP reduce the diffusion and decomposition of H2O2. Using the AuNC-DENP, we fabricate highly sensitive glucose electrochemical sensor, which can detect low concentration of glucose range from 5 to 320 nM. Also, by analyzing non-target materials and serums with glucose, we confirm that the sensor has a good selectivity. |
