제목 Two-Dimensional Large-Area Graphitic Structure Driven by Coronene Core and Hyperbranched Polymer Shell
초록 Graphene is considered to be a large aromatic molecule, the exceptional case of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). This fascinating two-dimensional material has many potential applications, including field effect transistors (FETs). However, due to the absence of a band-gap, graphene has very small on/off ratio, which is the main limitation of the device applications. Here, we report a bottom-up approach for the fabrication of new alternative 2D graphitic structure, which was started form the grafting 4-ethylbenzoic acid (EBA) to coronene core. The resultant coronene core-hyperbranched EBA shell displayed 2D crystalline structure, which was observed by transmission electron microscope (TEM). The electrical properties of large-area graphitic film were studied by using field effect transistors (FETs).
