Metal Ion Adsorption Behaviors of Chemically Treated Graphite Flakes |

In this work, chemically-treated graphite flakes (GFs) were prepared to investigate the adsorption behaviors of metal ion. The chemical treatment of GFs was carried out in various acid or alkali solutions. The metal ion adsorption capacity of chemically treated GFs was analyzed by atomic adsorption spectroscopy (AAS). Specific elements of the GFs surfaces were confirmed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Structual properties were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD). From the results, it was found that the metal ion adsorption behaviors were influenced by chemical treatment of GFs. |
