Recent fundamental issues of conducting polymer nanostructures are fabrication of new materials with unique properties such as electrical, optical and magnetic properties and controlling morphology and size of nanostructures. In this study, polypyrrole hexagonal micro-plates with high electrical conductivity were prepared in an aqueous medium in the presence of guide material, which was also used as doping agent, for formation of polypyrrole hexagonal micro-plates. Polypyrrole hexagonal micro-plates had 13-20 um of width, 50-90 um of length and 0.8-1.0 um of thickness in shape. The maximum electrical conductivity of polypyrrole hexagonal micro-plates was 287 S/cm. Wide angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis were conducted in order to confirm the nanostructure and formation mechanism of polypyrrole micro-plates. |
