Synthesis of styrene/DVB particle by anionic dispersion polymerization in hexane using poly(styrene-b-butadiene) block copolymer as a stabilizer. Herein, hairy particles of highly cross-linked polystyrene/divinylbenzene cores and linear polyisoprene brushes were synthesized. The linear polyisoprene brushes were synthesized by the addition of isoprene to PS/DVB particle anion. Isoprene monomer was killed by sec-BuLi and using 1,10-phenanthroline as the indicator before the addition to PS/DVB particle anion. The characteristic of this hairy particles was confirmed by scanning electron microscope(SEM), gel permeation chromatograph(GPC), and solid NMR. |
