Eco-friendly ADCA (azodicarbonamide) foam utilizing polymeric acid for reducing ammonia gas |
초록 |
Polymer foams are utilized materials for building materials, insulations and so on. However, these polymer foams release harmful gases such as ammonia, formamide during the foaming process. The releasing gases mainly from the azodicarbonamide (ADCA) blowing agents are regulated as SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) because of the negative effects such as bad smell and respiratory diseases. This study suggests a new approach to produce eco-friendly foam that significantly reduces the ammonia gases. The foam added with polymeric acid is not only reduced the releasing ammonia gas up to 82% but also maintained the physical properties compared to the reference foam. From the SEM image, it is found that there is developed nanosized channel networks in the wall of pore. Consequently, we ascribe the reduction of ammonia gases through the polymeric acid and the easy discharging of gases through nano channel networks. |
