Synthesis of Potassium alkoxide-initiated α,ω-heterotelechelic poly(ethylene oxide) and its application for preparation of block copolymer. |
초록 |
In this study, potassium bis(trimethylsilyl) amide as an anionic initiator was used to polymerize ethylene oxide leading to production of poly(ethylene oxide) bearing α-amino functional group in THF at 40°C for 24h by following anionic mechanism. After complete polymerization of ethylene oxide, 2-bromopropionyl bromide was delivered into the reactor via a break seal technique under high vacuum leading to generation of α-bis(trimethylsilyl)amino-ω-brominated PEO. The resulting polymer reacted with potassium ethyl xanthogenate in THF. Some part of the resulting polymer was converted to α-amino-ω-brominated PEO through the reaction with 0.5 equivalent NaBH4 to the bromine concentration in THF at 70°C. The thiolated compounds have been found to stabilize the surface of gold particles. We synthesized gold nanoparticles using the thiolated compound. In this presentation, we report the preliminary results for synthesis of heterotelechelic PEO and their application field. |
