제목 Hollow carbon nanospheres anchored graphene nanosheets further loaded with Sn/SnOx as anode for lithium-ion batteries
초록 Sn-based anode materials have been widely studied as promising materials for lithium ion batteries but suffer from poor cyclability and rate capability due to their large volume change during cycling and low electrical conductivity, respectively. Herein, a carbon nanocomposites of uniform-sized hollow carbon spheres on a graphene nanosheets were prepared via a facile and scalable process. Sn/SnOx was loaded into the carbon composites by a typical melt-diffusion process. The anode delivers a high rate capability of 290.0 mA h g-1 at current density of 3 A g-1 and good cyclability of 284.1 mA h g-1 after 1000 cycles at 1 A g-1. This excellent electrochemical performance is attributed to the unique carbon nanostructure, which mitigates the volume expansion of Sn via physical barrier and improved electrical conductivity. Thus, the Sn/SnOx loaded nanocomposite is expected to be a promising anode materials for lithium-ion battery applications.
