Electrospinning has been recognized as a feasible process for the fabrication of continuous fibers with diameters ranging from several micrometers down to a few nanometers. In recently years, many modifications have been made in the basic electrospinning process in order to improve the functionality of the resulting nanofiber structures. Coaxial electrospinning has gained much attention and holds great promise in a variety of applications such as the preparation of a core-sheath bicomponent nanofiber structure. In this work, Nylon 610 hollow nanofibers were prepared by a coaxial electrospinning method. Scanning electron microscopy and fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy were used to analyze the surface morphology and inner structure of the Nylon 610 hollow nanofiber mats, respectively. Moreover, a universal test machine was employed to examine the mechanical properties of the nylon 610 hollow nanofibers mats. |
