Low-temperature HC-SCR of NOx removal using non-thermal plasmacoupled with honeycomb catalyst |
초록 |
A new NOx reduction system has been developed based on a combination of non-thermal plasma(NTP) and honeycomb catalysts at low temperatures. A large of uniform corona plasma inside the honeycomb catalyst channels at different temperatures was successfully generated, which is effective for the treatment of NOx. The catalyst used in this study was well prepared by a coating of γ-Al2O3 powder onto the bare monolith to support the palladium. Selective catalytic reduction (HC-SCR) of NOx using n-heptane as a reduction with plasma showed that the average NOx conversion was obtained high efficiency. In addition, we found the oxygen-containing by-products (e.g., aldehyde, alcohol) created by the plasma-assisted partial oxidation of n-heptane is the main driver of the highly efficient NOx reduction. Plausible reaction mechanisms involved in the plasma catalytic oxidation of HC-SCR NOx reduction have been discussed in detail. |
