Effect of the n-Butyl Acrylate / 2-Ethyl Hexyl Acrylate Weight Ratio on the Performances of Waterborne Core–Shell PSAs |

A series of core–shell pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) containing a poly (n-butyl –co-2-ethyl hexyl acrylate) shell copolymer were synthesized via a multi-step emulsion process. The BA/2-EHA weight ratio was manipulated to vary the PSA properties. The performances of the resulting PSAs, such as the tack, peel strength, and heat/humidity resistance were evaluated in relation to the viscoelastic and thermal properties of the PSAs. The dispersion stability of the PSAs was investigated using dynamic light scattering (DLS) measurements and Turbiscan techniques. |
